"Scooby loved the new trays of Give A Dog A Bean and woofed it down in one go. It’s actually the best smelling dog food ever. Impressive stuff, so very well done for creating this lovely product as he's never even tried plant-based before and we are complete converts now! "

We thought that our soya and grain free Give Dog A Bean that launched in November 2023, and sold almost 20000+ tins in the few months since could not get any better....well it has!

We feel so grateful that we are a small independent company with no external investment which means that we can make any changes that you request. You ask and we listen and work for you and adapt to what your dogs want and need.

One loyal customer Nigel in London had one of his 11 rescue dogs Maya transform on Give A Dog A Bean wet food (read the full success story of Maya here). As they all loved it, he fed ALL 11 lucky dogs on Give A Dog A Bean, as he felt that it was so much easier to feed them rather than home cook which he had been doing to offer them the correct range of wholefood natural plant-based ingredients.

Vegan Chihuahuas that transformed on Give A Dog A Bean

Nigel's only concern however came from 2 of his smaller other rescue Chihuahua's who began regurgitating the food due to the addition of highly nutritious seeds -  sunflower and pumpkin. I personally was in awe of Nigel who was so taken with the food for his dogs, that he chose to buy a blender and blend every tin for his dogs so that they could keep eating it - how amazing is that!?

We immediately went back to our very understanding Give A Dog A Bean producers who changed the recipe and crushed the seeds further to offer greater digestibility to smaller dogs and those with long soft palates that also seemed to struggle with the whole seeds.

Nigel also mentioned that he had difficulty in scraping out the very last bits of cooked sweet potato juice stuck to the bottom of the tins.

The recipe is gently cooked in the tins, and they offered us the choice of gently cooking the new recipe in trays instead which meant that the food had to change in consistency to be made in trays and was made to be even more digestible.

Give A Dog A Bean Trays now in convenient trays and SO easy to recycle

We couldn't say no when they sent us some 'practice' trays and we were amazed at how easily the food could serve...and just how practical the trays were for recycling and letting your dog lick out the last bits!! (look at the image above to see how much space you will save in your recycling bins!)

So we are thrilled that we now have a food that is fully hypoallergenic with NO soya, NO wheat, NO corn, NO yeast, no GMO plants and the only plant-based dog food in the world to have NO pea protein in it, just pure sustainable and highly nutritious ingredients!! (and now made even more digestible for your dogs in super recyclable and easy to serve 290g trays!)
