Why do Airedales Thrive on a Plant-Based Diet?

Research shows that plant-based nutrition is the least inflammatory of all the diets and can offer a kind alternative and solution for highly sensitive Airedales with:

💚 Itchy skin and allergies

💚 Sensitive stomachs

💚 Weight management

💚 Joint issues

💚 Longevity

As a plant powered vet, I have been fortunate enough to receive feedback from dedicated Airedale lovers who have seen dramatic changes in their beloved Airedale's health through complete plant-based nutrition.

Read about darling Sessi and the incredible story of how she is her Mum's inspiration and reason for living and for this reason, her Mum only wants to feed her the very best.

"Sessi came into my life to give me the incentive to push on and keep up my strength and willingness to fight my own journey"

Sweet Amber in the photo below was from a Welsh puppy farm. Her Mum describes her as such a sweet natured dog so affectionate & has a lot of energy 😊

She had high levels of the infection Giardia when they first had her, which has the effect of influencing the gut microbiome so negatively that as an adult, Amber suffers from severe IBD. She even had a frightening bout of HGE (haemmorrhagic gastroenteritis) last year caused by scavenging meat proteins on a walk which her Mum says was very frightening as she was so ill.

This is where a kind soothing diet that is complete and free from all animal proteins and grains is ideal long term for sensitive Airedales like Amber.

Dr Arielle speaks at London Vet Show 2025 about the benefits of plant-based dog nutrition
When nutrition is done right, you don’t necessarily notice it working — you just notice your dog thriving. No noise, no stress, no vet appointments. To benefit our environment and farmed animals too is a massive bonus!
