The lovely Ella started Herbie Wilde and the side of the packaging shows that it contains D3 from sheep's wool. Here is a message from her when a customer noticed this -

Hello Arielle,

I am so sorry for the confusion! We are 100% vegan and approved by the vegan society.

Our bags are old bags that we need to use up due to the cost of them and having 10k of them initially.

We launched with a lanolin D3 2.5 years ago as our nutritionist and manufacturer wouldn’t approve any of the algae sourced D3 at the time. So decided dogs health was the most important thing so we launched as vegetarian. But 2 months into launch we found a superior algae sourced D3 that passed our tests.

I’m so sorry for the confusion. We send out food out with a note initially stating these are old bags and next bags are being printed for delivery in April.  Sorry I completely forgot to say. I can always send you some labels to avoid any confusion!

Hope that helps - please apologise to your customer for us.

Best wishes,

Ella

Herbie Wilde Feeding Guide

The recommended daily feeding is a guide only (see in images above). Every dog’s appetite differs depending on size, age, condition and activity level. Please adjust the amount given to keep your dog in a lean, active condition.

If your dog looks overweight, reduce the current food intake by 10%. If your dog looks underweight, increase the current food intake by 10%. Continue this until the correct weight is achieved. Dogs that maintain a healthy body weight live 5-10% longer than overweight dogs.

It is ideal to mix Herbie Wilde with any of our very tasty tinned foods, or add to any of our home cooked recipes or your own home cooked wholefood recipes.

Always ensure clean drinking water is available. Please store your food in a cool, dry place.
