“Thank you so much for making me aware of plant-based nutrition as a vet so that I can now promote it fully to my patients!” - Dr Lowri

💚 “Polar is a 15 month old rescue EBT type – sweet girl. I’ve had her since she was 4 months old. She was the runt of her litter and was in v poor state when the rescue rescued her.

💚 I rehomed her a few months later and I figured her poor start in life was the reason for her terrrible digestive issues. She didn’t pass a solid motion for months, bless her and had numerous cow-pat accidents!

💚 She nearly had a cow-pat motion in John Lewis shop last year- we just got her outside in time! Never the less, she has always been the sweetest, happiest pup, nothing got her down and she still is a v happy girl.

💚 I tried everything with her for her suspected IBD but nothing helped. She may have passed a solid motion for 1-2 days every 2 months but just as I would hope she was turning a corner, the cow-pat motions returned!

💚 I even have a calendar on the wall designated only for Polar’s poops!

💚 But now, since I started Solo Vegetal I have consecutive MONTHS of solid motions! It really has made a big difference to Polar’s life, my family, work colleagues and myself.

💚 Thank you so much for making me aware of plant-based nutrition as a vet so that I can now promote it fully to my patients!”

Vet Dr Lowri and her own Bull Terrier rescue transforming on Solo Vegetal
What a success story to have a vet trying out plant-based dog food on her own dog, seeing the success and then recommending it to all of her patients - exactly what should be happening.....except for corporatisation that has destroyed the veterinary world where billionaire pet food companies now own and manage vet practices as exposed here.
ALL vet practices should stock and sell and promote plant-based dog food to give long term to dogs with severe skin issues, intolerances and digestive issues, but sadly as so many veterinary practices are now owned by Mars Petcare (Linnaeus group owning all specialist practices), or IVC Evidensia (part owned by Nestle Purina), they choose to ignore the science and focus on rather selling their hydrolysed protein veterinary diets that offer greater profit.

Do we have other vets promoting plant-based dog food?

Yes what a joy that we have other vets across the UK feeding Solo Vegetal to their own dogs as shown in this article -
