What a wonderful success story to share of darling little Misty all sent in by her devoted Mum Heather who wants her story shouted from the rooftops as she couldn't be more thankful and relieved to have her Misty 'exceed all expectations' after being diagnosed with a very aggressive rectal mast cell tumour!
"Misty our little Maltese was 3 ½ years old when she was diagnosed last February with a rectal mast cell tumour which we were told was extremely rare in a Maltese female dog so young.
She had surgery in March which was followed by eight sessions of chemotherapy (Vinblastine).
We were given a very poor prognosis and the words the vet used were “this is basically palliative care “.
Misty had her first scan in April before beginning her treatment which showed a shadow in her stomach which was a cause for concern.
Much to the displeasure of the vet at the time and after contacting Dr Arielle; we decided to follow her vegan nutritional advice. Misty adapted easily to her new feeding routine which included Nutritional yeast, flax seed, Omega 3 , Green Crunch, Herbie wilde and the Shroom treats.
We also experimented with raw fruit and discovered that her favourites were blueberries (High anti cancer) so we decided to put her tablets inside these blueberries and we never had an issue with her medication!

Misty coped superbly with the chemotherapy and had no side effects. The second scan was in early July and to everyone’s amazement the scan was totally clear!
By this time a new vet had taken over Misty's treatment and proved to be much more supportive of her nutritional programme. In fact she said “Misty has exceeded all expectations”.
Even though she is no longer taking medication she still wants her blueberries and continues with Arielle's nutritional advice. We are grateful to Arielle for her support and nutritional recommendations and to Misty for adapting so quickly to the programme.
A huge thank you also to her global fan club which she developed during her journey."
Heather
