Iggy is a 12-year-old Russian Toy Terrier and, according to his Mum Lisa, he has always been very, very loved.
Iggy was the runt of the litter, but for more years than Lisa can remember, his coat was a real concern. He had virtually no hair on his chest or tummy, very little on the fronts of his legs and only sparse hair around his ruff.
In Lisa’s words, "he looked like a plucked chicken!" In fact, she sometimes thought he looked rather like "Yul Brynner!" (also her words!) 😂
The vet had told Lisa that Iggy’s hair loss was hormonal, and for years she simply accepted that this was how his coat was going to be.
