Why do Bedlington Terriers Thrive on a Plant-Based Diet?

Research shows that plant-based nutrition is the least inflammatory of all the diets and can offer a kind alternative and solution for highly sensitive Bedlingtons with:

💚 Itchy skin and allergies

💚 Sensitive stomachs

💚 Joint issues

💚 Longevity

Sweetest Bedlington Meg has an intolerance to chicken, turkey and possibly beef. Meg's Mum says -

"She has been on vet elimination diet (Purina) which has stopped her itching. Now looking to introduce better food.Exhausted trying so many ‘novel’ proteins. Lots of costly mistakes so thrilled with this plant-based option."

His Mum rescued him only 3.5 months ago from Bedlington rescue. He came with a number of issues and sensitivities with his pink skin and had pancreatitis in the past with intolerances to any grains or animal proteins.

Thank goodness for his new Mum choosing to put him onto a plant-based diet straight away as she realised it would manage his inflammatory skin and digestive issues.

Dr Arielle speaks at London Vet Show 2025 about the benefits of plant-based dog nutrition
When nutrition is done right, you don’t necessarily notice it working — you just notice your dog thriving. No noise, no stress, no vet appointments. To benefit our environment and farmed animals too is a massive bonus!
