What importance does Vitamin B have in dogs?

Most dogs with IBD have a Vitamin B12 deficiency because their gastrointestinal tract cannot absorb nutrients properly.

Vitamin B and folate is also so important for nerve and heart health in plant-based dogs which is why it is added to all the commercial well formulated dog food diets.

Vitamin B and folate supplementation not only enhances the health of dogs with digestive issues that need the extra support, but it also improves the appetite of dogs which allows for further absorption of the important nutrients as your dog eats properly again.

Why not Cobalaplex sold in veterinary practices?

With the knowledge that most of our dogs with intolerances and digestive issues such as IBD or colitis suffer from an animal protein intolerance, it just does not make sense that a veterinary company can make and sell a Vitamin B supplement for dogs with intolerances, a capsule made with beef gelatine, as found in Cobalaplex capsules! (but due to the cheaper ingredient of using cow hooves to make the capsule shells, these are used in Cobalaplex capsules to increase profits)

How much do I give?

Give 1 capsule daily to an average 15 - 25kg dog.

Give with food.

Sprinkle 1/2 capsule daily onto the food of dogs under 10kgs, and give 2 capsules daily to dogs over 30kgs.

Always ensure that dogs have access to plenty of fresh clean drinking water.

Can be given to cats with digestive or renal issues - 1/2 capsule daily sprinkled onto their food.
