Where does the Omega 3 come from?

Fish don’t naturally produce Omega 3 DHA & EPA in their livers, they get it from their diet of algae. The big fish (cod) eat the little fish… who eat the Omega 3 rich algae in the ocean.

Scientists decided to cut out the middleman… or middle fish in this case! The ocean bed is a complex ecosystem and small fish rely on this algae and seaweed to survive, so disturbing this ecosystem to obtain Omega 3 rich algae could be a damaging thing.

Scientists decided to grow this algae which is cultivated in conditions just like the seawater in bioreactors on land without the pollutants and heavy metals that unfortunately affect many of our seas and oceans now. Each capsule also contains  2.5μg of the purest form of immune boosting Vit D3 from plant sources rather than from sheep's wool (which is where all other pet foods get the Vit D3 from)
