💚 In this episode, Dr Arielle speaks to owner Laura about her experience with plant-based feeding. Duke was diagnosed with IBD which left him with numerous intolerances to common diets. After losing a worrying amount of weight, and trying various different diets, Laura came across information on Dr Arielle's website about plant based feeding.
After trying plant-based as a last resort, Duke was like a completely different dog! Listen to hear Laura talk about her experiences, as well as some interesting insights from Dr Arielle.
Heartwarming update on Duke from Laura August 2024 -
"I thought I’d give you a quick update on how Duke is doing since switching to a plant based diet a year ago. I think the photos below speak for themselves and I’m sure you’ll agree, the difference is nothing but extraordinary!
The photo on the right was taken in July last year, just before we came across your website. As you know, we had tried absolutely every single diet going and he was on a bunch of different medication, none of which was helping Duke.
We were at the vets almost every week and things were looking pretty bleak. We took Duke to a number of different vet practices over 2 years, including one specialist centre, and not one suggested trying a plant based diet.
The picture on the left was taken last week. Duke has now surpassed 32kg and has never looked so good. All of his other symptoms have disappeared too and he is back to his happy self with boundless energy.
Had we not found you when we did, Duke wouldn’t be here today, so we will be eternally grateful for all the work you do to get the message out there that plant based is the way to go! If this isn’t proof, I don’t know what is.
On behalf of Duke, thank you so much for giving him a second chance at life. He’s our big soft teddy bear and an integral part of our family. We can’t imagine life without him.
